Experienced Accounting Associate

About this position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Accounting Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial reporting, software management, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Accounting Manage comprehensive financial accounting records using advanced cloud-based accounting software (SAP, Sage, Xero). Prepare monthly balance schedules, bank reconciliation statements, and financial statements in full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP).
  • Transaction Management and Compliance Meticulously review and validate financial transactions, ensuring:
    • Complete and accurate supporting documentation
    • Strict adherence to internal control processes
    • Integrity of month-end and year-end financial close procedures
  • Client and Team Collaboration Serve as a critical link between team members and clients by:
    • Preparing insightful management reports
    • Providing technical support and strategic advice
    • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
    • Communicating effectively with seniors and managers about work status and potential issues
  • Analytical and Strategic Support Leverage advanced analytical tools to:
    • Analyze financial information
    • Present comprehensive business results
    • Identify and evaluate performance drivers
    • Support management decision-making processes
  • Organizational Contributions Actively contribute to firm culture and objectives by:
    • Adapting quickly to changing business dynamics

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • University degree
  • Professional qualification (ICAN or ACCA)

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Expert-level technical knowledge in tax, accounting, consulting, and advisory
  • Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
  • In-depth knowledge of tax, consulting, advisory, and control measures
